Putting a Cork in it.

I am still alive, despite what my posting statistics may suggest.

I have been drinking vodka, buying a new phone because of drinking too much vodka, having to replace the new phone a week later because of drinking vodka and whisky, organising university courses, university related costs, governmental allowances, my last day at work, goodbye drinks and packing up 19 years of my life into a few boxes and posting them up north.
I am moving up to Wellington, this Saturday. I am trying not to think about a whole lot or I think that I will pass out, never to wake again. We finally found a flat, and it is pretty fly. It's pretty expensive, but we are central city, close to the university (well, as close to the top of a fucking mountain you can be (the walk to university is going to be the death of me)), its a modern appartment, and we are at the back of a bistro, which has a neat industrial feel to it. I will take photos and post them as soon as I am sorted, and have a camera.

I will also post a photo of my sewing-savvyness.. Made some sweet, sweet hoods. Also of this most phenomenally good looking apron a woman at work bought me as a goodbye present.

Who would you rather make out with? Zooey Deschanel in 500 Days of Summer, or Scarlet Johansen in Lost in Translation?

  1. This must be one of the hardest questions you have asked... But I think I would go for Scarlet since I really want to know how those lips kiss. I bet if you kiss her you will bounce back like you are kissing a beautiful airbag. And Zooey was kind of a bitch in 500 days of summer. But still, I would do her.

Sounds like a lovely place you have there, I am really curious to see how it looks! Also, I am very curious to see those hoodies.

I always get the king of hangovers from vodka, but still, I do not seem to learn from it. It is just too good with ice and lime.

I am totally with you on the shoe thing. I just can not seem to like the cork soles. Sometimes there are shoes that kind of look nice but if there is any kind of cork attached I instantly hate it. But it might be nice to try to walk on water with them.

  4. Ahh vodka, joy and bane of my life. Sorting out student allowance and such is a bitch, I still haven't got mine figured out yet. Apartment in Welly, that's so exciting! Hope you're having a fantastic time down there.
Wedge heels are o.k. in general, apart from cork, that's just gross. Although they MAY confer you the ability to walk on water, in which case they are forgiven.
Definitely Zooey, Scarlett isn't my kind of girl and Zooey dresses better XD

  5. I can't help but agree with the first comment... Zooey's character in 500 Days upset me quite a bit, which stinks because I love her and the movie other than that aspect... sigh!
