Tea for Two

On Wednesday I went to the Botanic Gardens with some friends to enjoy the weather. Walking with Thomas we saw a man-duck ontop of another man-duck, ripping the flesh off its skull. It was horrifying. I broke it up with some stern words and strong arm movements. The lesser man-duck left with a limp and a few less feathers, but a lot more street cred. We sat and played cards for a while, then went to get a hot chocolate and a french pastry for Thomas. The boy I am with in the photo is Gandy.. The is the reincarnate of Popeye.

On Friday it was the University's end of year celebration called the Tea Party, or the Tea Party Alternative which was basically the same thing but a different location. Basically an excuse for uni students to dress up and get drunk in the morning. And so I got drunk in the morning. It was glorious. Two of my favourite people were there, Hayleigh (the haemaphiliac I have mentioned previously) and Mariah (who I have also mentioned previously). Mariah was in a pretty bad car accident on Monday; two broken ribs and a punctured skull. She was on top form on Friday though, even with the limp. The boy in the second photo with Mariah assured me he was strong enough to carry me over his shoulder on our honeymoon.
Oh good god...




On Sunday I went around to Anna's (who is down from Wellington for the week) and we watched some Miyazaki movies, some Muppets Show episodes (Mark Hamill and Paul Simon) and then went around to Thomas's and sat with Samora and talked about Ho Chi Minh and his indecisiveness over Jellytip or Lemonade iceblocks. It was nice.



And now I am going to watch Lars and the Real Girl and chase paper, getting nowhere.
