Welcome back, Simple Jack!

This is one of my best friends, Thomas... One of the best dressed males I know. The second photo is him in one of my dresses with my name tag on; a costume for my birthday party. The theme was Come As Something You're Glad You're Not Or Wish Never To Be. Oh the flattery! He has just come home from nine months over in Europe. He went to Poland for a few months to do volunteering - teaching blind children to speak english. How sweet is that. And then spent the rest of his time country crawling.
Welcome back, Thomas!

I went for another adventure walk on Wednesday to get my Anime. Like I mentioned in my previous post I did actually walk to and from town, which took me about 4-5 hours. It was so hot. I ought not have worn tights this time. Whenever I am walking I say hello to any one that walks past me. This lovely old woman walked past and I smiled and said hello, and so she smiled and said "Lovely day isn't it!" Simple enough, yes? But no. Not when your alter ego is Retardation-Man. Oh, he got me good. And so I replied "Yes, it is a lungely day". Lungely? What an awful way to describe something nice. It's nice weather today, kind of reminds me of a large fleshy mucus covered organ!
God damn.

So I got into town, after a pitstop in the Botanical Garden (almost wrote bionical garden - boy would I like to see that!), and as I was walking into the city centre I heard this awfully bizarre music. So, I followed the sound and it lead me to these guys.

Fuck are they cool, man. They were making the most incredible music and bird noises. I stayed to listen and took a few photos... He looked at me from the corner of his eye, and I thought perhaps it was Native American faux pas to take photos. But that didn't seem to be the case. The next day my Mum took me out to an outlet mall that is quite out of the way. We got to the outlet mall and who was there? My Native American friends. Mum really wanted to see them as she thinks she was a Native American in another life-time, which is nice because I'm sure I was too. He looked at me through the corner of his eye again, which was a little embarrassing - he probably thought I was stalking him. ... If I knew where they were performing next, I would have been.

After that, I went to the videostore, got out Pom Poko, Only Yesterday and Panda! Go Panda! Very bizarre movies. Well, Pom Poko and Panda! Go Panda at least. Pom Poko was about shapeshifting raccoons (yeah, need I say more?).. And would have been fine, if it wasn't for the narration. It was still okay, but I won't be going out of my way to watch it again. Panda! Go Panda! got me excited, as I had read that it was quite like My Neighbor Totoro, plus Miyazaki had written the story and scripted it. It was queer as fuck. The big Panda had the strangest voice.. The animation was pretty rubbish too. Only Yesterday I quite enjoyed! The animation was pretty good and the storyline was quite sweet. I didn't understand what was going on in the beginning, perhaps I wasn't reading the subtitles very well. But once I understood that most of these things were flashbacks, I was sorted. I think it was quite a realistic portrayal of a family (well, the relationships that Taeko has with others), especially for an Anime. I quite liked it.
It is Wednesday today, so three more Animes! I wont be walking down to get them though, as I am feeling sick. Jungle Emperor Leo (which is a shitty japanime version of Lion King, basically), My Neighbours the Yamadas (I have my reservations over this ones animation style) and Tokyo Godfathers. I am running of Anime. If anyone can recommend any, please... Please do.
Anywho, here are some photos I took from my long journey.

Christchurch is a hole. In spring, it's pretty easy on the eye though.

On my way back I sat down at a pond. It has so many ducklings. I counted 18. I tried to take a photo of them. It didn't work out so well.

And I went back to the other side of Mona Vale (mentioned in last post).

New shirt.

New dress

And photos from the actual 21st. Neither of us were overly sober. Hayleigh smokes like a rastafarian when she's drunk.

And a dress that I got from my trip up in Wellington! I moaned about the price to Anna, and so they brought it down to $40 for me. I wore this to work and drama yesterday.

Would you rather live knowing that any moment a giant shark is going to fall out of the sky and crush you, or every bird you see/sees you flies straight into you getting their beaks stuck in your flesh?

  1. I love your bow dress so much! You're also wearing a lot of those salopettes... I need one D:

I really loved Panda! Go Panda. I thought it was such a sweet story! :D I think the Yamadas are funny but I really wasn't too keen on the style either... but it's so weird and funny XD. Yet, I kind of forgot about its whole existences until now...

  2. I'm not sure if you want to stick to cute Anime or wander off into the darker side, but I will make a few suggestions just in case.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is the ultimate mindfuck. Up there with it is Elfin Lead. Akira is old school but still crazy. Ghost in the Shell is also really cool.
They are all guaranteed to mess with you, but hopefully in a good way :)

  12. Maaaaaaaaaaan, this is probably the longest post ever! Now I have to leave a long comment as well.

As for the question, I would go for the giant shark falling from the sky. I would wear a very sharp pointy hat, so I would make a hole in the shark as it falls on me and I will be unharmed! (I'm pretty good at these things aren't I?)

(EW YOU KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED? I'm eating a bun with cheese only I didn't like the cheese that much so I lifted the top to look at the cheese and there was a fruitfly on the cheese. It just flew away! I'm glad I didn't like the cheese, otherwise I would have probably eaten it. Isn't my life interesting?)

I love that path with the pretty trees! And I always say "hello" to everyone when I'm going for a walk too. I think it is an unwritten rule. And I think it's so cute when little old ladies get really happy about you greeting them. Aw. I just want to pinch their cheeks sometimes.

Your friend seems really cool, is it the same guy who brought you that amazing dress? He looks stylish and I like that blazer! And very charming he dressed up like you on that party, haha. Pretty cool theme for a party though, I might steal it.

I love all your outfits, they're brilliant. I especially like the black and white striped dress with the collar and that cute little dotted skirt in the last picture.

About the thing on my blog I was about to sell... It's a really pretty dress. It is too tight for me unfortunatly. I hate my boobs. I haven't sold it yet or put in on the dutch Ebayish site. For some reason all the photo's I took of it mysteriously dissapeared... Anyway, I don't have a paypall acount so I can't sell anything outside of the Netherlands yet, but I'm planning to start an Etsy shop or Ebay store, or whatever I can start to sell my clothes worldwide. But it is going to take a while since I'm busy with moving out and finding a place to live with my moustacheman. But, I promise, I won't sell it untill I can sell things worldwide.

    Never cut your hair ok?
